Mike Duffy's Personal Training Studio's in Monmouth County have been operating for over 18th years. Established in 1997, Mike Duffy's Personal Training Studios combine whole food nutrition, personal training, boot camps and certified holistic lifestyle coaches all into one program. The synergistic combination has proven to yield amazing results.

Holistic Nutrition

Our clients are taught how to get healthy first by mostly eating foods with only one ingredient. We try to teach them to eat hormone, antibiotic, chemical and preservative free to reduce the toxic load on their body's systems.When you give your body the proper nutrition it needs with the least amount of toxins it will put your body in a healthy state and enable it to  receive the nutrients it needs. When this is done results are unlimited. We have 9 certified Holistic Lifestyle Coaches who work with our clients 24/7 to guide them through their nutrition programs.

Personal Training -by appointment only

Our trainers are all certified and experienced, most have been with us 6,8,10,14 and even 18 years, that's powerful. We have been averaging over 10,000 hours of personal training a year for the past 14 years. With that comes a tremendous amount of experience in how to get people into shape, safely. We have over 20 certified personal trainers and operate by appointment only. We are very flexible with our scheduling which eliminates excuses for not being able to work out. What makes us successful is the fact that you have an appointment, it's in your schedule and we won't let you out of it! It is a commitment that you must live up to when you sign up with us.

Cardiovascular Training & Boot Camp Classes

We encourage our clients to perform some type of cardiovascular work when they are not with us. For many people, cardiovascular training is boring. A few years ago we developed our boot camp program to give our clients a more exciting version of cardiovascular training. This has been a tremendous help in getting them results. They look forward to doing their cardiovascular training now because the boredom issue was resolved. Not only do they perform their cardiovascular work, they enjoy it and even work harder at it.

Post Re-Hab Injury Recovery

Our Post Re-Hab division has been expanding. The population of older clients is expanding and with this comes injuries due to the natural aging process and older people wanting to be active in sports later in life. People are having hip replacements, knee replacements, shoulder replacements, etc., and want to get back as soon as possible to their active lifestyles. A few physical therapy sessions is not enough, so we are seeing more and more people hiring us to bridge the gap between leaving a physical therapist and re-joining a gym. They need to know what to do to be better and NOT to get hurt.

Youth Conditioning Programs

Our Youth Conditioning Programs are increasing. We are finding that parents want their children active in something besides X-Box. More and more schools are cutting back and even dropping physical education (Gym Class). Also, parents of athletes want their children to have an edge on the field so we are seeing more and more of a demand for off season training programs to improve performance and reduce the chance for injury on the field during the season. We currently have 5 programs specifically aimed at improving youth fitness safely:
  • Youth Conditioning Program-weightless workouts using body weight only exercises to build strength, endurance and agility.
  • Adolescent Strength Training Program- an introduction to weight training for teenagers.
  • Youth Speed Performance Program-this program is geared towards improving speed, acceleration & strength. No weights are used.
  • Winter Baseball Clinic-aimed at improving baseball skills and conditioning.
  • Youth Soccer Conditioning-aimed at improving strength, agility, speed & reactive quickness on the soccer field.
Flexibility Training & Pilates

We have seen that not everyone can workout real hard or real often. Some people are not wired that way. We have clients who do great just by stretching 1-2x a week with one of our trainers. Others do well working out on the Pilates reformer which has less impact on the joints, improves core strength and posture as well as flexibility. We work with a lot of older gentlemen who want to improve their flexibility and core strength for golf so that they do not throw their backs out when dynamically swinging a golf club. We also have female clients who respond better with low impact exercises like Pilates based movements.

Educational Seminars

We have also found that holding educational seminars on nutrition has helped our clients realize that there are many misconceptions abound about what foods are healthy and which are not. Many of them are surprised to find out that so called healthy foods are actually the total opposite of what they thought. We provide the research and educational materials on these topics so that they can make an informed decision.
